A non-clinical and clinical IUCLID database for 530 pharmaceuticals (part I): Methodological aspects of its development

A visual representation of a database with pharmaceutical and toxicological data composing it.

In collaboration with the ECHA, we developed a comprehensive IUCLID database, capturing results from non-clinical studies and human data for 530 approved drugs. The database, enriched with a specialized ontology, delves into various toxicity studies and includes human effect insights. It serves as a pivotal resource for the pharmaceutical sector, pushing the boundaries of non-animal methodologies and shining a light on human relevance. Check out our dashboard as well which serves as an example of the data’s content. These data can be helpful for new Approach Methodologies (NAMs), Integrated Approaches to Testing and Assessment (IATAs), Classification, Labelling, and Packaging (CLP), and building new Adverse Outcome Pathways (AOPs).
