Ogni giorno, le aziende e i consulenti che operano nei settori food, chimico, farmaceutico, cosmetico e nutraceutico devono orientarsi in flussi crescenti di informazioni: pubblicazioni scientifiche, aggiornamenti normativi, allerte, dati su ingredienti e prodotti e segnali provenienti dal mercato. Il valore non deriva soltanto dalla disponibilità delle fonti, ma dalla capacità di individuare ciò che è realmente rilevante, integrarlo con le conoscenze esistenti e trasformarlo in informazioni utilizzabili per prendere decisioni.
Con questo obiettivo Innovamol ha realizzato FLASHMOL MONITORING, un progetto finalizzato allo sviluppo di un’infrastruttura digitale avanzata a supporto dei propri servizi di monitoraggio scientifico, regolatorio e di mercato. Il progetto è stato cofinanziato dall’Unione europea nell’ambito del Programma Regionale FESR Emilia-Romagna 2021–2027 – Azione 1.2.3 “Sostegno per la digitalizzazione delle imprese” (CUP E95H25000560007).
Finalità del progetto
FLASHMOL MONITORING non è stato concepito come un semplice strumento di intelligenza artificiale, ma come una piattaforma modulare al servizio delle competenze scientifiche e regolatorie di Innovamol. La finalità principale è rafforzare la capacità di raccogliere, organizzare, integrare e analizzare flussi informativi eterogenei, mantenendo un presidio umano qualificato nelle fasi di selezione, validazione e produzione degli output destinati ai clienti.
L’infrastruttura è stata progettata per supportare attività quali il monitoraggio del food labelling e delle politiche di sicurezza alimentare, gli aggiornamenti relativi al pharma track & trace e l’analisi scientifica e regolatoria di ingredienti, sostanze e prodotti, incluse allerte, warning e segnalazioni di reazioni avverse.
Risultati conseguiti
Il progetto ha consentito a Innovamol di costruire una base tecnologica più solida, sicura e scalabile. In particolare, l’intervento ha permesso di:
- potenziare l’acquisizione automatizzata e programmata di informazioni provenienti da fonti scientifiche, regolatorie e di mercato;
- integrare dati eterogenei in ambienti strutturati, rendendoli più facilmente consultabili, aggiornabili e riutilizzabili;
- introdurre workflow automatizzati per la raccolta, il processamento e la distribuzione delle informazioni;
- rafforzare l’impiego di tecniche di Natural Language Processing e di modelli di intelligenza artificiale eseguiti anche su infrastruttura locale;
- migliorare sicurezza, controllo degli accessi, tracciabilità, backup e continuità operativa;
- ridurre il rumore informativo e concentrare il lavoro degli esperti sulle informazioni con maggiore rilevanza per il cliente.
L’architettura realizzata combina componenti cloud e on-premise e consente di gestire in modo controllato l’intero ciclo dell’informazione: dall’acquisizione delle fonti fino alla costruzione di output mirati. La tecnologia supporta il lavoro degli specialisti, senza sostituire la valutazione scientifica e regolatoria che rimane centrale nel modello di servizio Innovamol.
Un investimento nella capacità di produrre conoscenza
FLASHMOL MONITORING rafforza la capacità di Innovamol di offrire servizi più tempestivi, personalizzati e verificabili. La nuova infrastruttura permette di adattare i flussi di monitoraggio alle esigenze di specifici clienti e settori, mantenendo la flessibilità necessaria per affrontare domande scientifiche, normative e commerciali diverse.
Il sostegno finanziario dell’Unione europea e della Regione Emilia-Romagna ha contribuito a rendere possibile questo percorso di digitalizzazione, creando una base concreta per l’ulteriore sviluppo dei servizi di scientific and regulatory intelligence di Innovamol.

Every day, companies and consultancies operating in the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and nutraceutical sectors must navigate growing volumes of information: scientific publications, regulatory updates, alerts, data on ingredients and products, and signals from the market. Value does not come from access to sources alone, but from the ability to identify what is genuinely relevant, integrate it with existing knowledge and transform it into information that supports decision-making.
With this objective, Innovamol implemented FLASHMOL MONITORING, a project aimed at developing an advanced digital infrastructure supporting its scientific, regulatory and market monitoring services. The project was co-funded by the European Union under the Emilia-Romagna Regional ERDF Programme 2021–2027 – Action 1.2.3 “Support for the digitalisation of enterprises” (CUP E95H25000560007).
Project objectives
FLASHMOL MONITORING was not designed as a standalone artificial intelligence tool, but as a modular platform supporting Innovamol’s scientific and regulatory expertise. Its main purpose is to strengthen the ability to collect, organise, integrate and analyse heterogeneous information streams, while retaining qualified human oversight during selection, validation and preparation of client deliverables.
The infrastructure has been designed to support activities such as monitoring food labelling and food safety policies, tracking developments in pharmaceutical track and trace, and analysing scientific and regulatory information on ingredients, substances and products, including alerts, warnings and reports of adverse reactions.
Results achieved
The project enabled Innovamol to build a more robust, secure and scalable technological foundation. In particular, the intervention made it possible to:
- strengthen the automated and scheduled acquisition of information from scientific, regulatory and market sources;
- integrate heterogeneous data into structured environments, making them easier to consult, update and reuse;
- introduce automated workflows for collecting, processing and distributing information;
- expand the use of Natural Language Processing techniques and artificial intelligence models, including models executed on local infrastructure;
- improve security, access control, traceability, backup and operational continuity;
- reduce information noise and focus expert effort on information with the greatest relevance to each client.
The resulting architecture combines cloud and on-premise components and supports controlled management of the full information lifecycle, from source acquisition to the preparation of targeted outputs. Technology supports the work of specialists without replacing the scientific and regulatory judgement that remains central to Innovamol’s service model.
An investment in knowledge-generation capability
FLASHMOL MONITORING strengthens Innovamol’s ability to provide more timely, tailored and verifiable services. The new infrastructure allows monitoring flows to be adapted to the needs of specific clients and sectors, while preserving the flexibility required to address different scientific, regulatory and commercial questions.
Financial support from the European Union and the Emilia-Romagna Region contributed to making this digitalisation pathway possible, creating a concrete foundation for the further development of Innovamol’s scientific and regulatory intelligence services.
