Diversity Enhances Innovation and Decision-Making

Innovamol’s Advisory Board

It’s simplistic to think that the right views are only from those who are well-established in a field, considering how rapidly information changes nowadays. At Innovamol, we know that real innovation frequently results from the combination of different viewpoints in various fields, advocating the so-called “power of disagreement”. This belief is at the heart of our newly established multidisciplinary advisory board, which also includes experts from outside science.

Since innovation is not a spontaneous process but it is driven by the combination of diverse areas of knowledge and divergent viewpoints, we establish an advisory board built on this idea. We warmly welcome in our team:

Dr. Simone Lazzaretti

Dr. Simone Lazzaretti: Simone is a communication and marketing expert with years of experience in consulting on digital transformation and organizational innovation. He has successfully led numerous projects that have reshaped the communication strategies and operational frameworks of various companies. His strategic vision is highly valued at Innovamol, where he brings innovative and complementary perspectives that support the company’s growth and adaptation in a rapidly evolving technological environment. Simone’s expertise also includes leveraging advanced digital tools and platforms to enhance brand presence and engagement, ensuring that Innovamol remains at the forefront of industry trends and developments.

Dr. Michael Z Guterbock

Dr. Michael Z Guterbock: Michael is an expert in international relations and global health, with two decades of experience coordinating international policies and health diplomacy across various regions. His expertise includes policy analysis, advisory services, proposal development, and program implementation. He collaborates with a wide range of organizations, including private industries like the Economist Intelligence Unit and government entities such as the US Administration for Preparedness and Response and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This experience brings a global, multidisciplinary perspective to Innovamol’s growth and adaptation in a complex, rapidly evolving environment.

Dr. Carla Marchioro

Dr. Carla Marchioro: Carla is an expert in organic, medicinal, computational, structural, and analytical chemistry with decades of experience in R&D for pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals. She has held scientific and strategic leadership roles at international organizations, including Evotec, Endur, and GSK. Her expertise spans structural analysis and mechanism of action of bioactive molecules, industrial chemical process development, and the integration of advanced techniques like AI and machine learning in R&D. She is an author of numerous scientific publications and patents and a speaker at international conferences, bringing innovative scientific perspectives to Innovamol.

Their combined knowledge and perspectives will go beyond conventional scientific boundaries by bridging the gap between science and the market in a way that makes our reasoning  ground-breaking not only  from a scientific standpoint but also commercially feasible, and with a significant impact on the market and society.

Indeed, although disagreement is sometimes seen negatively, we consider it a potent innovation accelerator. When experts from different fields engage in constructive disagreements, they challenge each other’s assumptions, question conventional wisdom, and push the boundaries of what is possible. The result of this dynamic interaction of ideas leads to more robust decisions and solutions. For example, when we discuss a new project with Carla, Simone and Michael, their different viewpoints force us to consider multiple facets of the problem. Such discussions ensure that our decisions are the result of careful consideration and a range of perspectives.

Considering Innovamol’s mission, vision, and objectives, we believe that transversal capabilities are crucial in our team in order to assist us in directing interactions between science and society, as well as ensuring that we maintain our flexibility and responsiveness to evolving trends, market conditions, and economic shifts.

“Diversity and independence are important because the best collective decisions are the product of disagreement and contest, not consensus or compromise” – James Surowiecki
